1/4/2005  Hi Dan - My sister Patti told me what has been going on. Wanted to let you know I did private duty and home care for years as a nurse and have worked at both the Mayo and the UofM .They are both wonderful places and you would be in great hands in either one. I really couldn't recommend one over the other. I have done home care and private duty for a child who was a stem cell donor to his brother at the UofM it was a very moving experience and all went well . I was very impressed with the hospital and staff ( and also the Ronald McDonald House ). The hospital did a wonderful job with the care of both brothers and was very supportive of the family. I'm sorry to hear of the situation for and you and your family but wanted to share with you what I know - in case it would be of any help. I've been on the list to be a stem cell donor for years too. Hope this helps a little - your in our prayers. Let me know if I can be of any help. Trudy Namur (Pat Huston's sister )
