7/8/2005  "Dearest Dan I guess I'm one whom you have dubbed "quiet ones". I have read your entries for quite some time and have carried you and your wonderful wife in my heart every day. I truly believe you are a very very special person and God continued your life with us for a good reason. I also think perhaps there is a reason you went through this nightmare.....It just might be that you have helped someone else during your journey or that you are destined to help someone in your future. You see it's not so much your medical issues people need to hear about Dan it's YOU they need to hear about. Your beautiful way of coping communicating and caring!!! Even during times where you were the sickest it seems you never lost that beautiful soft side of yourself. You seemed to keep a positive zest for life even when it seemed to be so dark in front of you. I'm sure you had your "moments" but what you conveyed to all of us in your journal entries was a spirit that always burned brightly. That spirit and zest can be contagious and can help others who may be giving up. I will carry you and your journey in my memory pocket for a long time to come and I wish with all of my heart that you and your family will have many years of health and happiness. SA"

It's difficult to reconcile the reality of the journal entries with the guy I've known worked with and laughed with over the last 15 years. Any bets on a date to hit Top Trill Dragster at Cedar Point? Can't wait to yuk it up again! Some words of encouragement and a prayer: 3 John 2: "Dear friend I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you even as your soul is getting along well." God speed to you Dano! Bob"

I will be here for you! I need to let the world know how great you are and what a wonderful role model you have been in and to my life. All I know is you are the strongest and best man for this "job" and you will come out on top as you always do! - DAD! There are so many reasons you are not done "here" and this is just one of those hurdles you have to get over! God knows I am too short to get over any of them (ask my track coach from 8th grade - but what a great chance for me that I can't remember his name). I love you very much! I know you will get over this bunch of viral blog spam spyware firewall invading crap - because it is crap! You have always known better than all of us kids!!!! Love your "Eldest Kid" Amy!!!"

1/10/2005  "Dan - We continue to pray that God will sustain you and provide for your every need. God's love for you is perfect constant sovereign powerful abundant wonderful and so much more I can't possibly describe it. I too am praying that God will show you the purpose for this in your life. His purpose and plan for us isn't always easy and we may not understand it on this side of eternity. However you can trust God's plan for you completely. God will use this in your life for good. We are praying for that as well. I'll leave you with one of my favorite verses: 1 John 5: 11-15 "And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life and this life is in his Son. So whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does not have his Son does not have life. I write this to you who believe in the Son of God so that you may know you have eternal life. And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we know he is listening when we make our requests we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for." (New Living Translation) God Bless!!!!!!!"

The Lord has a wonderful plan and purpose for you and it will be exciting to see what He does. You and your family are constantly in our prayers. Luke 1:37 "For nothing is impossible with God" John & Patti Prichard"
1/18/2005  "Dan You will beat this!! I pray and know in my heart a donor will be found. My doctor at the Mayo told me "We need to live each day to the fullest no one knows what the future will bring. We need to stay positive and focus on what we can do and not fear the unknown." Those words changed my life and I wanted to share them with you. God bless you and Deb. Lori Woods"
5/30/2005  "Dan We join you in being thankful for the great progress on your recovery. You are in God's hands. We continue to pray for your full recovery for God's blessing in your life and that God would reveal His plan for you. 1 Timothy 1:12 "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has given me strength that He considered me faithful appointing me to His service". John & Patti"
3/6/2005  "Dan Steve and I just heard about your health. I ran into Barb and she shared the bad news of the diagnosis AND ALSO the good news of your match. We did not know of the months you have been through. Know you are in our hearts and prayers for recovery. We still remember our fun golf outings and your "hole-in-one" at Braemar. Wishing your and Deb courage and strength. Sandi and Steve Taylor"
