Hey kid hope you get the good news on the donor test soon. All of the original gang have now gone on to different places and jobs........but do remember the jokes off color humor and friendship that we once shared. It will help you to laugh during these very trying times. Once this is all over and you are on the mend what would you say to our calling an ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT meeting @ Garcia's? Oh......I know that Garcia's has been torn down but we have never failed at finding a good spot to laugh dance and enjoy each others company........give my love to Deb and the kids. Prayers and Love Mary Sandquist |

Hi Dan and Deb I know drugs are effective but I saw this on the mayo.com's nutrition site and thought of you. -------------------- It depends on how much and what type of fiber you consume. But high levels of fiber may adversely affect mineral absorption. In general the insoluble fiber found in whole wheat is more likely to interfere with mineral absorption than soluble fiber found in oats dried beans and fruit. Also two substances called phytate and oxalate found in the husks of grains seeds dried beans and some vegetables may inhibit absorption of iron calcium and zinc. ------------------- Great Harvest Bread has some really tasty 100% whole wheat breads. I thought maybe every little bit would help. Thinking of you Lauren Brown |
