7/9/2005  Dan I'm a friend of your father & mom father of your friend son Joe. We lost Joe's sister Cathy to sudden aneurism which made her a perfect donor her loss was mitigated by hearing from recipients of her harvested organs You have been remembered in my frequent masses since the start of your struggles. Thank you for sharing your gratitude John Carr Sr
7/9/2005  Dear Dan and Deb - - I am one of those you don't know. I'm ToniMarie's aunt Jim Murphy's sister Kathleen. I've been praying for you every day. What wonderful news and how blest you are. I will continue to pray for you every day. Sincerely Kathleen Geiser
7/8/2005  "Dearest Dan I guess I'm one whom you have dubbed "quiet ones". I have read your entries for quite some time and have carried you and your wonderful wife in my heart every day. I truly believe you are a very very special person and God continued your life with us for a good reason. I also think perhaps there is a reason you went through this nightmare.....It just might be that you have helped someone else during your journey or that you are destined to help someone in your future. You see it's not so much your medical issues people need to hear about Dan it's YOU they need to hear about. Your beautiful way of coping communicating and caring!!! Even during times where you were the sickest it seems you never lost that beautiful soft side of yourself. You seemed to keep a positive zest for life even when it seemed to be so dark in front of you. I'm sure you had your "moments" but what you conveyed to all of us in your journal entries was a spirit that always burned brightly. That spirit and zest can be contagious and can help others who may be giving up. I will carry you and your journey in my memory pocket for a long time to come and I wish with all of my heart that you and your family will have many years of health and happiness. SA"

6/7/2005  Happy Anniversary and I am glad to hear about your continual improvement!!!!! You also might be glad to know that we moved almost ALL of the lake Minnetonka sweatshirts and T-shirts you had in inventory in your garage during the Edina Art Fair. I set up outside of the Lunds store(gosh they have GREAT food) and business was a bit slow at first but by the end of the weekend we had sold almost all of the 5000 t-shirts you had in inventory! I forgot what you told me your cost was on them but at $1.10 each or 6/$5.00 we couldn't hand them out fast enough. I had to hire a couple of bag boys to help me sell them so please let me know where to send the invoice to get those guys paid. I'm glad to be back in to your house. It was good to see you come home for the weekend but the place was a mess when I came back on Monday. I also tried to change the oil on the big boat yesterday. I found out that oil pans don't float very well. The DNR said they would be contacting you about the clean up costs in the bay. Keep up the great progress Dano!!!! Rick
